Brew City Salmon Tournament 2013 was held on August 10th at McKinley Marina in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was a success.
For the first time ever, we had 121 boats registered to fish. One boat could not fish and another had a blown engine. With 119 boats fishing for 8 hours, 98 of them weighed-in a total of 664 fish that weighed over 6800 pounds! There were fewer fish than last year, but they were larger.
1235 pounds of fresh fillets were donated to the Milwaukee Hunger Task Force. Thank You to all of the generous fisher-people. This is really good for community relations.
Thank You to all of the Fisher-people for your participation and we hope to see you at Brew City 2014 on August 2nd next year. A special Thank You goes to all of the generous volunteers and GLSF Members who spent many hours ensuring that this contest, the largest 1 day Tournament on the west shores of Lake Michigan, is one of the best, too!
Tight Lines and Heavy Coolers until next time!
